Default Fido iPhone 3G on Rogers network?

Anyone know if the phones are locked between Rogers and Fido? They're basically the same company --- Has anyone tried placing their Rogers or Fido sim into a Fido/Rogers iPhone? What happens?

The CSR at Rogers said it should work, but I have a feeling I'll need to wait till the new 3G is unlocked...
