Error 1604 problem!
I bought a 3g 16gb off ebay with a broken digitizer. I fixed it and im planning on restoring it to 4.2.1 and unlocking it. I plugged it in for the first time. It showed the apple logo and a spinning star at the bottom right above the home button. I dont know what its at the bottom. Ive never seen that before. I click to restore. Load a official 4.2.1 firmware and every time I get the 1604 error. It will still be stuck at the apple logo like it frozen. Its still on even if I unplug it. I have spent countless hours researching a solution to this and Im forced to put it on a forum. Maybe someone will have a solution. I have pasted the log on the link. Please someone help me!

Yes I have tried pwn then both orginial and custom IPSW. I have also used iREB. I have tried this on three different windows computers (windows xp and 7). Still getting the same error.

I was messing around with it some more. I forgot to mention that it wont even show what firmware version it has. I have even checked with f0rcast and tiny-umbrella. It dosent show anything about the iPhone except for the ECID (Dec) on tiny-umbrella. So I figured maybe im not restoring with the right firmware. This thing could have 6.15.00 baseband for all I know. So tried 4.1 official and I got a new error message of 1603. I don't know the difference between 1603 and 1604, but I did some researching on google and I reset the Apple Mobile Device service. Still stuck at "preparing iPhone for restore", Error 1603. I have uploaded a new log file of the error 1603.
