CommService/3G - restarting - how?
Hi and greetz from Poland guys! I need little help.
I've discovered that to enable/disable 3G iPhone OS first reads file:
/private/var/preferences/csidata -> line:
If there is 0x1 - 3G in enabled, if 0x0 - disabled. To force changes we need to restart CommService using, for example:
# killall CommService
...or relaunch it using launchctl command... but there is a problem - each time after restart, we're forced to unlock a sim-card :/
Is there any possibility to do that (restart CommCenter) without unlocking sim? Or, in another way - Iphone switches between 3G and EDGE without restarting CommService. How it's made?

Disable your SIM pin and you're done.
BTW Airplane-Mode does the same job afaik.

No, i cannot disable it, cause' my sim card doesn't allow to do such thing. I can only change SIM code to another one.
Second thing - ok, if Airplane mode does the same, and it does, how can i trigger this effect using U*ix terminal?
