Hello I was hoping someone could help me.

I have a 2.1 jailbroken iPhone and would like to put a patched MobileInstallation.framework file on it. However iPhoneBrowser now shuts down as soon as i open it and OpenSSH just isn't working for me. Has anyone got any ideas or easy i can make these things work?

OpenSSH Method: Just says Connecting.... and after about 15 seconds my PC comes up with a message saying 'The server is not responding'.

iPhoneBrowser Method: As soon as i open it, it says 'iPhone Browser has stopped responding'. 'Windows is attempting to find a solution for your problem'.

OpenSSH needs about 30-40 seconds after the installation and first connect to generate the System-Key for encryption. Try to connect to it and after 40 seconds open another window and reconnect, this should work.

Ok, managed to connect. However i think i needed to set permissions (which i did'nt know how to do), as i have had to restore my phone 4 times to get it to work again. Oh well.

Permissions can be set by:

chown USERNAME:GROUP FILENAME

You can google for "change file permissions linux" there are a lot of infos out there
