Is it for the bin or have I bin lucky
Hi wondering if anyone can help,
I found an I-phone 3g 16g on Thursday lying on the floor in a street in Wimbledon, I ve lost so much stuff in the past so I thought what the hell I would keep it,
It was locked, and it was recommended to me that I take it to a mobile phone street stall in Tooting they charged me £10 and have un-locked the pass code but he said it won't ever work in this country because of the IMEI number being blocked. Is this the case?
Is there anything I can do?, I wanted to give the phone to my girlfiend who doesn't have an I-phone.
Regards

We have a policy of not helping users perform illegal activities.
In the UK, owning tools to break IMEI blacklisting is punishable with a jail term and a fine.
Lost property should be handed in to the police. You are now in knowing possession of a stolen item. My limited understanding of the UK laws suggests that that in itself is a crime.
