I bought my iphone from craigslist with the 2.30 Baseband and i thought i was out of luck...but then i looked around google and cydia and found a solution. if u install DownBB from cydia u can downgrade from 2.30 to 2.28. ur still gonna be on 2.2.1, just with an older baseband....which is good. then u install yellowsnow and u have an unlocked iphone.

NOTE: DownBB works only with iphones that have bootloader 5.8. This bootloader was upgradered in december 2008...so if u bought ur iphone before that date then u are good to go. but make sure u have 5.8 or older.

just lettin everyone know cuz there IS a possible way to downgrade and no one is posting it as a solution. and if i didnt look around the deep ends of da cyber-verse, i would still be using a RIZR!!!
