    Default Baseband downgrade how to?

    Hello,

    today i have upgraded my iphone to 2.2. Why did i do it?
    i dont know.
    Now i have downgraded back to 2.1 but the baseband still is 2.28.

    Anyone can explain to me how to downgrade?

    If your iPhone is a 3G one, then it's not possible to downgrade the baseband. Sorry about that.

    FWIW, the BB can be downgraded via a hardware method (open the phone and removing chip) . TA_mobile confirmed that to me yesterday.

    Any tutorials or something to do it ? Is the chip soldered in or stuck like the mobo bioses ?

    i literally smiled reading this post...... there are very few things dev team and associates cant do. I am still in 2.1. didnt go close to itunes after reading dev team suggestion of upgrade an i very much want to unlock.

    DevTeam is working on a complete software solution but that does not mean they can't muck around with hardware stuff.
    They simple chose not to.

    You need the right equipment AND experience to do this.
