Apple Return Policy 14 Days, AT&T 30 Days, Keep iPhone No ETF on Day 28?
I bought an iPhone 3G at Apple 28 days ago. iPhone terms and conditions follow, and I bolded a part that is questionable for me. So Apple does not want my phone back after 14 days, what happens if I keep the phone (simply because Apple doesn't want it back), how does that work?
Can I cancel today, pay for the minutes I used, keep the subsidized price and not pay an ETF, and keep the phone. It is 28 days into the contract, not 30.
Thanks for any insight.
Cancellations/Early Termination Fee: An Early Termination Fee may be assessed against you in the event that you terminate your Wireless Service Agreement and/or selected plan before the expiration of its term. The fee will begin at $175 per device and decrease by $5 each month for the term of the agreement. You may cancel your service, for any reason and without incurring the Early Termination Fee, within thirty (30) days of signing your Wireless Service Agreement, PROVIDED, however, that if you cancel service you will remain responsible for any service fees and charges incurred. If you cancel within three (3) days of signing your Wireless Service Agreement, you will be entitled to a refund of your activation fee, if any. If you exercise this option,
you may be required to return devices and associated accessories purchased in connection with your Wireless Service Agreement.
You may be required? Do I really have to AT&T?
I'm not going to bump this thread because I don't want to be rule breaker, but I just had another thought. Where in the contract does it say that the phone is locked? Is there a line I'm missing? I'm looking for any way to break the contract without paying a sh*t ton.

Well in that case where it says "An Early Term Fee may be assessed" I guess its not given you will be charged for it either.
