Default Accidentally upgraded my modem firmware to 02.08.01!!

I have 2.0.2 jailbroken locked Canadian iPhone 3G and I've accidentally upgraded the modem firmware to 02.08.01. I'm really worried now that I won't be able to unlock it if/when an unlock becomes possible. Is it possible to downgrade the modem firmware back to the original 01.45.00?

I would like to know as well. I bought one from someone and the baseband was already upgraded.

Its not possible to software downgrade the Baseband but also it not 100% fact that if/when the unlock happens it will matter what version you have installed.

Just that I didn't want to take a risk, but I accidentally managed it.
    I hope it won't matter.

You have any concrete evidence that I've actually done damage to it by updating the baseband?

I think that if an unlock comes around we'll be able to unlock newer modem versions. If not, we might be able to downgrade the modem firmware, since the dev team have managed to do that themselves. After all, it is a firmware.

Hey man,if an unlock comes out,my guesses are it's gonna be 2.xx(meaning2.00 and higher).
Worst case scenario,it only comes out for latest firmware?!!!
Then upgrade to that firmware, don't stress your nerves man,i think all 2.xx have the same unlocking method,(after all,if there's any changes,it wouldn't be THAT big) so you'll manage it,besides it's not like you're the only one with 02.08.01 ...if you're still worried...maybe just maybe, upgrade to a newever firmware, then downgrade to whichever you want...

    Hope i helped...

why you insist so much in so many posts on software unlock ?
just get sim solution and wave that finger to Steve
    remember that:

Cause I have faith in the dev team that they will eventually come up with a software unlock. Plus, a software unlock is more stable and easy to use.
