3G Shanghai (HK version) working untill upgrade!

i bought a 3G in Shanghai a few weeks back and it worked perfectly. I could access the app store etc.

Stuipid and ignorant as i am i updated it while plugging it into my pc and connecting with itunes. Since then the thing has been stuck on the apple logo. I live in belgium so the thing obviously has been unlocked. I tried updating it but after 99% it gave me an error code and got stuck in recovery. I tried using some of the jailbreak programs but it always seems to be a problem because after running em the phone just goes dead untill i get it back into recovery mode.

Can anybody help me? is there anything i can use or do that can bring it back to life?

thanks in advance i know all of you have read the same type of situation over and over but i've had someone else look at this who used to unlock his 2G and he cant get it working either.

We need to see your restore logs to diagnose the problem - make sure they are published on a pastesite (see my signature)

From that log you aren't getting very far at all.

Is the data on your phone vital or is it okay to wipe the phone as part of getting this to work?

Another guy has tried some jailbreaking so i'm pretty sure its all gone anyway!

Force the phone into DFU mode and then restore stock 3.1.3 IPSW, jailbreak with redsn0w 0.9.2 or 0.9.4 and a supply redsn0w with a 3.1.2 IPSW when it asks for one.
If that doesn't work then you have either a hardware problem or your iTunes install is somehow screwed up.

I keep getting the same error when trying to get the 3.1.3 restored. Itunes : the iphone can not be restored an unknown error has occured 1501.

Don't really know where to go from here.

ok its been jailbreaked and i can start it enter my sim code but.. i cant call , have 0 bars and it won't connect to my provider!

Do you mean 1501 or 1015 as the error code?

Did you install ultrasn0w?

i did redsnow .

first i tried to use itunes to get 3.1.3 installed.. at the end it gave me an unknown error code 1015. i ignored this and did redsnow jailbreak with the 3.1.2 seeing as tinyumbrella said 3.1.3 was installed on the phone. everything worked the phone is on it accepts my pin but i cant choose a network.
