Hi all,

i would like to ask all 3G owners how far your battery life is. Background is, my new 3G white have only 2 or 2,5 days and my battery is empty. Jailbroken or not makes no different. I've restored already from jailbroken state to original state. So no openssh or any other service should be running.

My configuration is:

1. Push mail active (3-8 Mails per day)
2. 3G enabled
3. Wifi Disabled (Only enabled at home)
4. Background light 1 minute

How long is your battery life with that or similar configuration?

I used to get 2-3 days with the same settings, sometimes bit more. since I disabled pushing I am at 4-5 days, pretty reasonable. I dont need mail (plus mail-sound) every hour of the day, just hit the mail button whenever i do have time to read mails.
If waiting for a mail, ok, but usually I dont care too much.

Thanks, well sounds to me that my iPhone is not bad
No reason for a warranty reason... i think apple have to fixup many things on 3G!

I have Push mail and it's not eating that much of battery unless I start playing movies and music all the times.

Mine is empty in about 2 days with push on...

I need to charge everynight.

Im travel for about 1.5 hours a day in the Train, and im usually playing a game, Toyboy, Super monkey ball, bejeweled, etc.

Wifi on at work for about an hour or so.

Playing music all the time while travelling, which is 1.5hours + about an hour from stations to home/office and back.

That is a pretty long commute. Well, Mumbai sucks :-) Hope you get that subway working soon!

i get about 1 to 1.5 days.. and then i have to recharge..


with 3g ON all the time, and constant email pushing.. then about 1 day.. then i have to charge.

I am feeling bad .. my iPhone 16 Gb, No 3G, Wifi At home, only last 8 hours.
Push and imap gmail. Plus some internet and max 1 hour music...
