^^ Wifi eats up battery really fast.
8 Hours is quite surprising tbh.
My iPhone 2G used to run out of Battery in about 3-4 hours if I was Wifi browsing.

So far my standby time is 1 day, 17 hours and my battery hasnt reached to the red 20 % remaining sign, but I've pretty much had every option turned off including wifi. My usage time is only 3 hrs 16 mins with 1.5 hrs talktime. Only checked my mail 2-3 times and havent played any games or listened to music.
Before, I always had wifi on, with 3g, push, location service and pretty much everything else off, and it didn't even last me a day. I don't remember that happening to my old iphone...

Yes push is drain the battery extreme! My iphone have now a standby of around 4-5 days with push off. I have wifi, 3g and manual email check on. so its the best setting i think.
Nice link btw: http://nobodywantsastyl.us/archive/83/push-me-pull-me

WiFi on (both locator and wifi on) is a total battery killer. 3G is a huge killer, Push is the third. I have all three turned off and have to recharge every other night. That's with pretty moderate/heavy use.
