[3G] Possible for phone to call itself?
Any suggestions on making the iPhone 3G call itself like the original iPhone?
In the original iPhone you dial *#317# and press call and the iPhone will call itself, however the 3G iPhone does not seem to do this. Is there some sort of hardware restricting this since the both iPhones use the same software? Thanks

Very easy explanation for this: because then I can use my bluetooth for audio playback.
PLEASE people find a solution!

Hi. Sorry, I don't think there is a way of doing that on the iphone.
Very good idea though. You can get full audio over bluetooth by playing music whilst taking a call.
The only workaround requires you to make/receive a call from another phone.

Right, and in the first iPhone, you could make it call itself and answer and stream audio that way. But it seems like a no-go for the 3G iPhone.

Because that costs additional money and the adaptor sticks out, I'm fine with the audio quality and lack of controls of this method.
Anyone have any ideas yet?

NO!,sorry man, unfortunatly till now there is no specific way to do it(no that i could think of),but if you want bluetooth playback, give anyone a missed call and let them call you back(in a way it would seem to them like you're checking from time to the other, and to you,you got what you want!)
that's the only way i could think of right now,i know it's not what you wanted to hear but...you know how it is on the iPhone 3G...
Hope i helped...
