    Default [3G on Fido] Getting REAL sick 'n tired of the 2.0, that's too much....

    Initially, only the slowiness was playing on my nerves... However after last two days, I am done with this stupid, buggy software!

    1) Last night, google maps app worked only in the map view... switching to satellite view crashed it each 10 times I tried.

    2) Today, maps search quit working. I turn on Safari to see if I'm connected to the internet and sure I was. Maps refused to perfom a search.

    3) Just 10 minutes ago after rebooting, my battery which was showing FULL (100%) before reboot, after restart show 1/3 capacity!!!

    4) Worst of all... 10 minutes ago after that same reboot.... My carrier logo changed from Fido (on which I am) to ROGERS!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! Can't turn it back around. Don't know what happened. Attempted to restart and choose Fido as carrier... Refuses to accept it, still shows ROGERS!!!

    2.0 is the WORST firmware ever released. Oh how much I miss 1.1.4....

    Do you know of a way to downgrade a 3G iPhone to 1.1.4? I have been trying it, but have not figured out a way... I would love to go back for now...

    I'm on Fido and carrier shows Rogers. This started happening after Rogers accquired Fido. This is no big deal.

    iPhone (OTB 1.1.1 / Currently 3.1)
    Unlock, activation, jailbreak: PwnageTool 3.1

    I don't think the 1.1.4 FW has 3G support, so even if you got it to work, it would be a less-that-perfect solution.

    You know what i'm thinking??? Is if someone is ranting becuase of a carrier logo issue... life can't be that bad for them.

    A friend of mine and I got the 3G from Fido too. We had experimented some problem with the unstable firmware that come with the phone.. I'm not sure what is the 2.0 build version that come with my phone since an upgrade to the last firmware resolved most of the stability and performance issue i had. Perform a restoration to get the last firmware, it may help you...

    I've experimented the Rogers issue too.. it don't really surprise me, my previous (unlucked) nokia was showing rogers instead of Fido.. well.. so what? its the same network.

    Showing Rogers instead of Fido aint much of a deal, unless you really really dislike the Rogers logo
    Soon I should be getting my handset in the mail, pwned it goes... :hack:
