[ZiPhone] Is it using 3.9FakeBlank to downgrade the bootloader 3.9?

No.. It uses the standard 3.9 bootloader (which can not be reversed without taking your phone apart)...

Oh. Cool. I always think that downloading bootloader should be permanent. because there is no point to keep 4.6 bootloader.

then you will stick with 3.9 BL. Possible that future unlocks are only possible with customized BL - in this case you will stick on old FW. doh!

funny thing is that Zibri will not be able to provide PWNED or Dual Bootloader since all his fanboys are stuck on 3.9 OEM Bootloader until Apple decide to upgrade to >4.6 Bootloader with removed backdoors for custom Bootloaders

decide yourself if you want let Zibri decide for you (do it all) to stick or not. Zibri can buy a new iPhone from your donations :p

... oh, please: not one more thread on 3.9 vs 4.6 and zibri vs. devs. please!

anyway: sorry but, *personally*, I don't care a damn s**t about custom fw and/or dual boot. all I (possibly) want is being able to run *Apple's* latest fw (and, btw, 2.0 has nothing I really need!)

I'm not at all zibri's fanboy (nor anyone else's) but... remember?... no *real* unlock came *for months* from "the good ones". not even for 1.1.2 (then geo did it overnight!!!). and only *after* ziphone came out... everyone is *now* poking around with bootloaders

(and still no 4.6 *public* exploit, btw)

so, to be simply realistic... only time will tell :p

np, just let people know that they do sth irreversible to their bootloader and let them decide them selves.

btw zibri is using geohots bootloader downgrade code, he only patched the check for the fakeblank code so that he can use 3.9 OEM NOR to act in bad faith to ppl. http://iphonejtag.blogspot.com/

to me (and *I believe*) to many others, it's just that: the best (anyone has its own reasons for this) phone on the market. and I (we) just need to use it as... the phone it ultimately is.

but what has become very clear, lately, is that to "the good ones" the iphone is (only?) something else. and that unlocking it for *normal* use is just a side-effect. zibri (ok: stealing!), on the contrary, aimed at an easy tool to allow every normal guy to use the iphone in a normal way.

that's the real reason behind ziphone's great success: *normal people* finally being able to use a great phone as... a phone!
