I Purchased my iPhone in May, i then went on to unlock it straight away using ZiPhone which downgraded the firmware to 1.1.2.

I tryed to upgrade it last night following the steps on ZiPhone for upgrading.

After following all the steps the phone showed the cable and itunes logo.

I plugged it in and it didnt show up on itunes or in ZiPhone.

Now it does turn on it scrolls lines of information on screen and now reads:

Singleuserboot -- fsck not done
Root device is mounted read-only

If you want to make modifications to files:

/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /

If you wish to boot the system:
exit

Jun 9 18:48:41 launchd[115]: cant exec
/bin/sh for single user : No such file or directory



I am fairly useless and have no idea how to resolve this problem and get it functioning again.

Restore to 1.1.4 and use iLiberty+.

Stay away from StronZiPhone if you don't want trouble.

The iphone turns on when plugged into the computer scrolls through a list of procedures very quickly then stops on the scree aforementioned.

The iPhone doesnt show up on the computer, in itunes/ ziphone or iLiberty +

Its not recognised as being plugged in on the computer so dfu/ recovery mode doesnt work as Ziphone or iLiberty doesnt detect that the phone is plugged in..

lets not lose all hope, you might have to try diffrent comps and cables and hope for the best........

No offence to anyone and i greately appreciate all your inputs but sounds like everyones as clueless as i am..

Switch it into DFU mode, not Recovery and restore 1.1.4.
