How did I know about this? It's because I bought from them only to be forwarded to a page containing the guide to free unlocking developed by the DEV team. This site must be stopped. And they are selling for $29.99.

On the sales page, they are clearly hinting that they are a reseller for IPSF solution but this is NOT the case.

I bought from this site after upgrading to 1.1.1 (first day of 1.1.1 release) and then downgrading back to 1.0.2 hoping that IPSF can unlock the 1.1.1 baseband but it did not work as well

For my case, I have already opened an paypal complaint with paypal

At no point does it say anything about ipsf software you got done cause it was so cheap you should have known something was up as not even the ispf sell it that cheap to their resellers

sorry but you have to take more care when buying
but it does teach everyone to be more careful and only use the official resellers

Look at their FAQ, it is totally the same as the IPSF FAQ...

And look at their site's link to the IPSF news by Engadget and CNN.

Still not implying IPSF to you?

There are people who either dont have the time or cant be arsed to find the info on their own. Guides like this one provide said info to said people.

I was thinking of doing something similar to be honest (adding a disclaimer that the info CAN be obtained for free and that the software is NOT made by me etc) but i havent goten around to it yet

that is right, theres even people that dont bother even to search any info, i have unlocked about 20 iphones here in mexico.... like you say.. free money!!!
