Unhappy Working unlocked iPhone - now "no service". Please help.

    Hi there,

I have an unlocked iPhone that did a great job for a week. But today evening, it fails connection to Vodafone. And if I see it right, it does not even try to.

How do I know? Do you know the tickling sound when that mobile phones emmit to speakers when close enough? You should hear those during calls and when the phone connects to the network. I can not hear those sounds when turning the phone on and enter the pin.

But then: Somewhen - without warning - it connects again to the network (vodafone is printed instead of "no service") but just to go back to "no service" after a minute.

Remember: I had no trouble whatsoever for one week. And of course, I did not do any updates or similar.

Now I have 2 questions and please try your best to give appropriate answers:

    1. Anybody else that had this problem and succeeded in solving it?

    2. Can I do the unlock again and is there a proofen procedure for Mac?

    Thanks very much,

    Armin

Same thing happened to me earlier, but the weird thing is, even if it shows "NO SERVICE" I can still make calls LOL. How did you unlock yours? Using www.iphone.unlock.no?

I was having the exact same problem a few minutes ago... my carrier's name would come and go. "No Service" would be written when I had no signal strength.

I restarted the phone; still the same. I then tried going into the Carrier menu and it displayed "Error".

After this, I turned the phone off. Took the sim tray out and reinserted it; now it seems to be working pretty good, thank God.

I hope it stays this way. I can't afford a bricked phone and all those No Service errors scare me to death.
