Hi, I had this problem too. On my first time ever four to five seconds the terminal reseted I made two things:

1 - Remove dropbear, reboot the Iphone and reinstall dropbear. You can try remove the terminal too. Donīt forget to reboot.

2 - Use putty/ssh from your computer, seems much more stable.

    I'm running windows.

Originally I had an OTB 1.1.1 Iphone. I downgraded the sucker with the Dev Team's Downgrading FAQ on wiki with AppInstaller.

Now i've sucessfully downgraded my Base back to 3.1.4. I was able to get back to 1.0.2 but wasn't able to unlock it sucessfully with iBrick. It just never seemed to accept my sim card. So I restored the firmware with itunes and tried to jail break it, with no success. Apptapp doesn't jail break it or ibrick. Help?
    Hi,

1 - restore 1.0.2 like the tutorials, forget the errors.
2 - run apptap, forget the errors again.
    3 - run iBrick it will jailbreak/activate.
4 - install bsd subsystem, dropbear, terminal and anySim
5 - follow the steps on the first page
6 - reboot, run anySim with your SIM on the phone.

For some reason, unlike the first time I downgraded from OTB 1.1.1 to 1.0.2 I do not recieve any error message from Apptapp and it completes the installation the first time.

I tried the method that you mentioned and I still get the damn connect to itunes message. iBrick recognizes the iphone as jailbroken and prompts me to applications.

You had make the binaries executables, stoped the com.apple.CommCenter and you executed bbupdater to view what version is your iphone baseband. Now its time to rename the secpack, donīt forget to rename ieraser only accepts secpack as the filename, and letīs erase the baseband.

i don't understand what to do

in putty it says waiting for data... and thats it

    how can i fix it

does it mean any phone with 1.1.1 can be downgrade to 1.0.2, both os and baseband, no matter it is out of box or accidently upgrade to 1.1.1, unlocked or non-unlocked before?

using open wifi, with laptop connected through ethernet cable to router, without firewalls.
