I know that 1.1.3 iphones OTB are able to activate and jailbreak but not unlock.
I was wondering if one of the new 16gb iphone with 1.1.3 and Bootloader 4.9 could be activated (not the AT&T way) and maybe even jailbroken?
This way I could go out and buy my 16gb iphone and use it as just an ipod (maybe with wi-fi?) until they find an unlock method.

It would be nice of you if you can buy the iphone and test out the current 1.1.3 Jailbreak method.

I've got a $400 Apple gift card coming in the mail this week from one of those free iphone websites (cost me $24 and 2 months of my life ).
Once it arrives I'll go buy a 16gig and try it out.
Talked to the apple guys Monday and they said as long as about $100 is on a credit card I could get an iphone, but ya never know about the newest stuff and apples crazy rules.
Might as well, I can probably sell it on ebay for $550+ on ebay if it doesn't work.

Guess I'll be the first to try it out!

any updates to this my gf wants to get me something nice for V-day and if this works might as well be a 16gig.
