Now I have 1.1.4 and BB 3.9 but with the same WIFI problem.
    Don't mix BOOTLOADER with BASEBAND!

BL = BOOTLOADER (can only be either 3.9 or 4.6).
BB = BASEBAND (can be 04.02.13_G, 04.03.13_G, etc.).

Just thought I'd clear this up for the noobs reading this thread.

    Apple
    sucks.
    Microsoft rules.

    TurboSIM-like methods? No way.

    - Unlocked Week 47 1.1.3 iPhone, baseband 04.04.05_G.
    - Bought in Minneapolis, MN;
    - Currently on TIM carrier.

I'm not here to find help. I'm here to help others and give back what I've learned from Hackint0sh.

In my case the first time I got my iPhone back in december I did a downgrade to 1.1.1 firmware and follow all the jailbrake procedure in that time using http://prefs, install oktoprep, etc.

Then I uploaded again with 1.1.2 and use it a TurboSIM clone until the GeoHotz solution came. Then I used the iClarified method from the same iPhone using the installer to do the unluck.

Everything worked fine since them, I just installed LocalizeMe, BSD Subsystem, and CallD, nothing more.

The problem continued with 1.1.4 and 3.9 bootloader and 0.4.04 baseband until now.

    My iphone is week 48.

Its seems to be a hardware related problem, I actually unlocked 4 more iPhones after my WiFi fail and all the other iPhones work perfectly with my wireless network. If someone have the answer please help.

Now, ours problem with unstable wifi is probably hardware related.(unfortunately)

    to answer your question:
    (1) The only method I've ever use is Ziphone.
    (2) Mine is 1.1.2 OTB week 46.
    (3) I heard someone replaced the comm board inorder to it (not sure if he had the same problem though + it cost $150?)
    Whats the solution?

Mine is week 25 build with BL 3.9 (though not sure what it is now after all the hacks!). I had a fella unlock it for me and I saw he started doing it with this: http://www.freeit4less.com/?p=howto Wifi worked perfectly.

I wanted 1.1.3, and got it via Ziphone 2.2 (OSX version) and worked fine, but a day or two later, wifi was gone (and has been ever since). I have done restore/as new phone, both recovery mode and full DFU, upgraded to 1.1.4 with Ziphone 2.5c, and guess what: no wifi!

I know its not hardware related since I did get 2 minutes of wifi a few hours ago, managed to install BossPref as someone suggested, and yes, still no wifi. When I say no wifi, I mean that my phone searches for networks to connect to, but does not find any wireless network. Its as if there was no wireless available (I am standing 2 feet away from the antenna...).

I also think isn't something hardware related, today I woke up this morning and tried to test my wifi again and for the first time in this two days, my iPhone connected to my network and worked with Safari.

Then suddenly stop working again, but at least it last some minutes and not 5 seconds like before.

Another thing is pissing me out is the called ID that doesn't recognize the numbers I keep in my address book for this simple reason, I have them in a short format but when someone calls, I get the international format (+595981470321 instead of 0981470321) and the phone can't recognize it in firmware 1.1.4

    Default How I Fix it...

This is how I barely fixed my WiFi problem, is very weird but at least works in some way:

What I did was to leave my iPhone turned off completely for the entire night, the next morning I turned on again and the WiFi started to work again, but isn't a permanent fix, because it will start to fail again but not like before, at least with this method I can use my wifi longer.

I know this is very bizarre, but it worked for me.

I've been using this method for a couple of weeks now, quite useful specially when trying to install or update through installer.app

Now, does this mean that this is a hardware issue? (I'm thinking on handset getting too hot, thermal paste or insulation thing... maybe this could be fixed by opening the iPhone...)

have you ever used any kind of charger with it that wasnt the one that came with it?? what i mean, have you ever plugged it into another power supply that wasnt the a/c adapter or the iphone cable.. if so, the difference in voltage wouuld fry your phone....
