For window:
Start>run> type cmd
then type ipconfig
Type the ip address (should be like this 2wire.gateway.com or actual number 192.xx.x.x)
it will open a fresh page with all the modem information. Look for wifi config. You should see what kind of wifi and channel you are using.
Good Luck. OH, i'll send mine wifi table to you MuscleNerd. Because i'm still fixing my wifi problem right now (grey wifi).
tks for your information,
i will try to get my ap type,
my iPhone sometimes is just instable wifi, and auto reboot,
sometimes become No Wi-Fi(grey wifi) after auto reboot,
but I turn off wifi now,iPhone still auto reboot to No Wi-Fi,
when iPhone become No Wi-Fi,and never auto reboot again....
and if I shutdown my iPhone for half hour,
turn on iPhone........Wifi will come back
It's annoying cycle...
NOW
Instable Wifi(auto reboot)-->No Wi-Fi(very stable, but will lost call in sleeping mode)-->turn off iPhone half hour, and turn on--->Instable wifi(easy to auto reboot even turn off wifi)--->
before 1 month ago,differeant cycle
Instable wifi(sometimes safari,installer works,and sometimes auto reboot)--->turn off wifi,very stable--->turn on wifi(sometimes safari,installer works,and sometimes auto reboot)
just like OsvaL's situation,
but 1 month ago's cycle, never become grey wifi.....
For me ,grey wifi is most stable now, never auto reboot(because wifi was dead...><)
but,Grey wifi's iPhone will lost call in sleep mode.
i use iMapIdle.app keep iPhone awake, consume battery quickly.
so I try to turn off iPhone for wifi come back......
and EDGE 、bluetooth、phone always work perfect,
only wifi problem,
If communication board Hardware's problem,
i don't think EDGE bluetooth phone will stll work perfect,
before i unlock my iphoe 1.1.3 with ziphone
everying is fine....(OTB 1.1.1 BL 3.9 with anySIM unlock)

i think it happen randomly since my friend able to use his wifi (after ziphone 2.5) without any problem. My phone was instability (wifi) after using ziphone and then end up with grey wifi. I'm testing in many possible point caught this serious problem (using bootneuter to flash bl then use lib+ to flash bb). I'll report my result back later.

Hi,tinhbantotvn
the following methods I had tried, for your information
1.Restore to 1.1.1~1.1.4 firmware,invalid
2.Reflash all version's baseband,invalid
3.iLibety fix,Ziphone fix,invalid
4.Use BootNeuter change BL to 3.9 FB ,4.6 ,4.6FB,invaild
5.Use swifi fix (both wifi exist and grey wifi),Nothing to fix, invalid
6.Use bootneuter to flash bl then use lib+ to flash bb,invalid
7.Reset Network setting,reboot,airplane mode on,reboot,airplane off.invaild
Only one method works, turn off iPhone up to half hour and put in freezer,
iPhone's wifi will come back(not grey),sometimes wifi works for minutes,
and gets into annoying cycle as I mention above.
1.If communication board was broken,
why did Phone EDGE bluetooth work perfect,
and Wi-Fi worked perfect before unlock with Ziphone.
2.If wifi antenna was broken,
why did wifi sometimes works(ever works for half day)
Maybe the final reason is just MuscleNerd metioned.
"It looks like each of the cal tables has its own checksum byte (in addition to the overall checksum for the entire set of tables). swifi corrects the overall checksum, but if one of the individual checksums is incorrect, the firmware probably rejects it and that could cause problems."

uhm! i think MuscleNerd was right about the that.
. I was thinking about changing my wifi antenna but it still stuck with the same problem. But the problem seem like something was running as the difference speed as it support to be. (it create heat alot and somehow it stop the wifi completely). well, i hope MuscleNerd can figure this out soon...

My problem:
the iphone see's all the wifi but is "unable to join..." even without security...
the fridge doesn't work for me but leting wifi in off for several hour, makes it possible to connect for some minutes or even an hour...
i don't know if it's related but i can't get edge off... whenever i go to bossprefs or netservices and turn edge off (and i wait for it to apear to be off), if i hit the home button and enter in netservices again, edge is (always) on
i'll try to send my tables...

Iphone see all the wifi but cannot join ....
On your wifi router/accesspoint, can you lock it down to a specific speed (e.g: 802.11b or 802.11g but not both). Lock it down to a specific one and try set preamble to "short" on the router

i've tried to b and g and manual channels.... still the same

Hi mi problem is like the described on the first post, I have found that other thing that afects my rebootin and finding wifi is the humidity, how i did that i put my iphone in a ziplock bag and put inside a little bag that are in some products in order to absorb humidity and inside the bag the phone works well but after taking it out of the bag it starts to have problems with wifi and reboot.... in freezers its also comon that all the humidity condense on the wall or in the sistem leaving a very dry air. It is another idea or posibility.
Thanks
