WIFI Grayed-Out !!! No Solution Yet !!!
Yes, I know this question has been asked a zillion times ! But it seems there is no real solution to it.
I have been unlocking iphones (new and unlocked version) for the past 6 weeks without much issues, until now !
I have tried upgrading/downgrading/virginizing/reflashing baseband (v3.0,v4.0) with all possible methods found in the NET.... yet no WIFI !
The set is a version 1.02 unlocked. The problem just appeared without any reason. Since then, the WIFI is grayed out.
I have come to think that it is a Hardware failure..

i also think it's a hardware problem.. BUT.. it's kinda wierd cause i was working on a unit that had the same problem as yours.. And i tried everything u stated: downgrade/upgrade/virginizing/reflashing etc..

BUT.. wifi still didnt work because it couldn't find any network.. so.. I just think that it's a hardware problem.. considering the way that it got damaged in the first place..
improperly entering into factory activated state can also have this result. try deleting any activation record you can find. and delete the lockdownd aswell. get the phone to the "connect to itunes to activate" stage, possibly do a restore from that point for good measure and then try again. if you were doing it manually dont, use something thats proven to work like jailbreakme.com
