Default [Wifi] fix ? where are we at ?

I followed this board closely a few months ago trying to restore WIFI to my iPhone. I tried everything, including the no wifi fix but nothing worked. There are threads with dozens of pages so I was wondering if anyone could quickly point me in the way of any new developments before I waste another few days trying to get the damn thing to work.

    TIA

What's your Wifi problem? I had quite a few, got it fixed today!
My phone would crash and keep rebooting when wifi was turned on...
Long story, perhaps I'll elaborate on how I go a new phone from Apple today although I'm not an ATT customer... Got to love it!
    We love Apple...unlocked :p

Curious how you did it, if you wouldn't mind posting/PMing...

I followed a very intersting post about iPhone warranty in this forum.
I've used T-mobile for 6 months now and my wifi fried after i uninstalled a program.Don't know if it was coincidence, but phone kept crashing abd unsuccessfully rebooting after the wifi was turned on. It was said you can go to an AT&T store and have a manager override a restriction on getting a monthly plan for yourphone, ie no contract, perfect for all of us in the US with another carrier. I did that, but the manager basically told me that the only way to do it is if something goes wrong on your credit check when you apply for service, bad credit etc...
With that in mind, i came back home, restored my phone after bootneuting it etc and got on itunes. When the activation screen comes up follow all the prompts but the only thing you do not want to put is your SS#. I put in the most misused SS...google that. The credit check failed and itunes offered my 3 options: try again, go to AT&T store or buy a prepaid monthly contract...BINGO.
So with my number in hand and a genius bar appointment, walked in, they looked at it. I said my contract had just finished, signed up and when wifi was turned on the phone crashed. He turned around and got me a new phone....tada!!.....
So after spending $50 for warranty service (very happy about) for a legit number, i can cancel service, get a refund or just keep the number in case the phone breaks...
    We love Apple...unlocked :p
