    Hi,

Everything has worked out fine. The process with iLiberty+ was succesful. I flashed the bootloader and baseband with the help of Bootneuter.

The problem started when running terminal, the program asked me for a login and a password. I typed in the login and password that I use with my ibook G4, but it didn't work. I wonder if they are asking me for a specific login and a password for this phone. The phone belonged to my uncle and he could give me that information if he remembers it. He is using a 3G iPhone now. Is there a way to overcome the login/password setting at terminal??

Thank you very much. If everything works out properly, I'll be very happy to complete the process through terminal and to repair the Wi-Fi.

    Kind regards,

    igmolinav

You're talking about terminal on the iphone right ?
    The login and password are:
    login = root
    password = alpine

    Hi,

Just a question, before I go on with another question. Does iLiberty+ with the payload run swifi automatically?? I didn't think so.

I followed the tutorial you saw below and I typed each line of the following commands and it didn't work.

    cd /usr/bin
    chmod +x swifi
    launchctl unload
    /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
    killall -9 CommCenter
    ./swifi

The only time when I got a better answer was when I typed the third line out of the six that i wrote above, and the fourth line was perhaps too long.

There must be something I am doing wrong.

    Thank you afain, kind regards,

    igmolinav

    Hi,

Better yet, found this link to a previous thread:

    http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthre...t=36826&page=7

In that thread they run iLiberty+ with the payload up to six times and apparently swifi runs automatically.

Another option is to do it through terminal. This time I did better than before because I respected the space between "cd" and the slash at the very beginning. However, the problem arises after I type:

    # killall -9 CommCenter

The answer I get is: No matching processes were found

What can I do ?? I was so close of writing the word "swifi" but the previous line got on the way.

    Kind regards,

    igmolinav

P.S. If you think there is a better chance to get my WiFi repaired by running iLiberty+ several times, please let me know.

    Hi,

I tried it again. After the line: No matching processes were found,

I wrote the last line that I had previously forgotten: ./swifi

and the unexpected and unfortunate appeared: Nothing to fix !!!

Can I still do something, did I do something wrong ??

    thank you,

    igmolinav

if swifi says nothing to fix then there is nothing to fix. You didn't do anything wrong.

    Hi dtube,

Thank you for your answer. Is there something I could still do about it ??

It is somewhat ironic, today, the phone was able to detect the Wi-Fi
signals at my office. However, i didn't punch any passwords in
because internet use is restricted only to certain areas in the building.
At home, it was detecting it with a very low signal.

Is there anything at all I could do to have internet / Wi-Fi signal ??

    Thank you very much again,

    igmolinav
