[Wi-Fi][iLiberty+] Having a bit of problem correcting my Wi-Fi Address.
Hi,
This thread is a continuation of this thread:
http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49382
Volkspost and dtube had been helping a lot. The thread had
grown a lot that it became, in my view, a bit unmanageable.
Hence the interest to open this new thread.
The goal, is to change my current Wi-Fi address from:
00:5A:49:42:52:49
to:
00:1F:5B:4C:3F:FC
given that my bluetooth is:
00:1F:5B:4C:3F:FC
The last time I ran the commands with a Mac Book with 10.5.4
it didn't work out, (below), perhaps you can find where my
mistake lies.
In advance many thanks !!!
Kind regards,
igmolinav.

If Bluetooth is
00:1F:5B:4C:3F:FC
Wi-Fi has to be restored to
00:1F:5B:4C:3F:FD
Just a not. Has nothing to do with the problem you are experiencing. You dont have that directory you nee to place the libs for iBooter on the Mac.

Hi Volkspost,
Thank you for your reply. The last time I tried I did it from a Mac Book and it seems, it didn't have the directory.
I have two questions:
a) Is it possible and not too difficult to create that directory. (The last time, it was done with my brother's in law Mac Book) ??
b) On the other hand, my cousin has a Mac Book Pro. Do Mac Book Pros have that directory ??
Thank you very much,
igmolinav.
P.S. My mistake, my bluetooth is: 00:1F:5B:4C:3F:FB
so I think the Wi-Fi address has to be changed to: 00:1F:5B:4C:3F:FC

What??? Please, English is the language here.
OK, the Wi-Fi address has to be changed to: 00:1F:5B:4C:3F:FC
I do run couple Macs, all Intel-based. All have the directory
/usr/local/lib
Your cousin's does not have. Thats the reason for getting all the errors. I guess your cousin's Intel-Mac does not have this diectory cause the Developer Tools are not installed on his Mac. Just grab the DVD that came with his Mac and install then. It should work then.

Hi Volkspost,
Thank you for your answer. I'll tell him to install the
"Developer Tools" and I'll report back.
Thank you,
igmolinav
P.S. Ich werde nicht mehr auf Deutsch schreiben,
obwohl ich die Sprache sehr mag.

All right, keep my fingers crossed.
It's not that I dont like German but it's just about respecting the members from all over the world, so we'd use english.

Hi Volkspost,
Thank you for your answer. I'll be using english, no worries.
In a few hours i am going to see my cousin to install the
"Developers Tools".
I have just noticed something. My Wi-Fi address doesn't
display anymore the numbers: 00:5a:49:42:52:49
It only displays now: N/A
My question to you is that when I do it again should I give
again the same commands ?? Because it seems to me that
the 00:5a:49:42:52:49 number has already dissapeared,
and there is no need to replace it anymore. Perhaps one
only needs to type in (the new address with) another
commands.
Thank you very much, kind regards,
igmolinav

Do you still have wifi access? Usually it should display the mac address even if it is the wrong one (zibris). The commands are for setting the address. that does not sound to good to me.
Again the question: can you access the web via safari/wifi? Just check the apps that use wifi.
