    Hi Volkspost,

I can't use safari, it can't find the server. Other applications like Youtube can't find the server as well.

I also go on the iPhone to: Settings/General/Network/Wi-Fi, and it displays: No Wi-Fi.

Thank you again, please let me know what to do, kind regards,

    igmolinav.

When did this happen? You used to have wi-fi, right? Just the wrong MAC but working. Well, you cut the thread apart, I'll try finding it. I cant recall if you used the wifi fix already...

    Hi Volkspost,

Thank you for your message. Yes, I used swifi, and then after seeing that it didn't work out, I was suggested to check my Wi-Fi address. We realized that it had the 00:5a:49:42:52:49 number.

Thank you very much, kind regards,

    igmolinav

    Hi Volkspost,

Thank you for your message. I'll call my cousin in law, and as soon as we do it I report back.

    Kind regards,

    Dear Volkspost,

If instead of installing the developer tools to the Mac Book of my brother in law,
we try creating the directory by writing on terminal the following:

    mkdir /usr/local/lib

However, if we still have to install the developer tools, should we also download
the developer tools from Apple's website ??

Thank you very much, kind regards,

    igmolinav

The developer tool is on the Leopard DVD that you have with the system. Put that in and install the Xcode. That will install libraries and gcc compiler on the computer. It's quite simple and will not harm your computer.

    Dear Volkspost,

My brother in law came with his MacBook and the two CD's of OS X. CD number two has an X Code Tools folder with:

    XCodeTools.mpkg
    Dashcode.pkg
    WebObjects.mpkg

and also a "subfolder" called: Packages.

At first, I only installed: XCodeTools.mpkg and a few but not all of the elements inside the "subfolder" Packages.

My question is which programs, besides the XCodeTools.mpkg should I install ?? Should I just install everything !!!

The good news is that my cousin has offered to loan me his MacBook for an entire evening, because to intall these little programs takes quite a while.

The other good thing is that after I tried the process once again, even though the file we want was not there, the iPhone no longer displays as a Wi-Fi Address N/A. Now it has the bad address from before, so it can be changed.

    Thank you again,

    igmolinav

    Hi Volkspost,

On the discs, one finds the following information on the outer side. Inside the discs I didn't find any other information with regard to the discs:

    On disc one,
    Mac OS version 10.5.2
    AHT version 3A143
    Disc version 1.0
    2Z691-6197-A

    On disc two,
    Disc version 1.0
    2Z691-6195-A

    Thank you again,

    igmolinav
