Why aren't officialy unlocked iPhones being sold on eBay?
Hey,
I looked all over the forums and google to find the answer... but none.
So why aren't the officialy unlocked iPhones from France or Germany being sold on eBay?
Don't the officially unlocked iPhones work with any GSM carrier? ie. Rogers in Canada.
Some people are willing to pay 1000$ USD for a software unlocked iPhone... so why don't they buy an officially unlocked iPhone instead?

Why doesn't Bill Gates give me his Techno Palace for a dime?
Why is Earth rotating?
Why is sugar sweet?
I guess we are not hackers, but mind readers instead.

LMAO!..mind readers and scientists i suppose! lol
no on a serious note...the only reason why officially unlocked iphones arent being sold is bcause of the high price...some 1300 bucks! Versus getting a software unlocked phone for some 550 - 700 i think thats a better deal!!

Why do Americans always use the wrong exchange rate vs. the Euro (another question
)?
The unlocked, contract-free german T-Mobile iPhone is 999 EUR.
Assuming a current exchange rate of aprox. 1,47 USD for 1,00 EUR, the unlocked iPhone would have a price tag of almost 1470 USD.
A seller would need to add at least 200 USD to make it worth, so in the end, the unlocked iPhone would be around 1700 USD. AT LEAST.

B. I am not a smartass
C. Who cares about the exact exchange rate?
D. I proved my point

Officially unlocked..
There are people selling/buying software unlocked phones for over 1,300$.... on ebay
or iPhones with jewelry ie. crystals or 24K Gold on an iPhone.... that easily sell for over EUR 1999
see this http://cgi.ebay.de/WELTNEUHEIT-IPHON...QQcmdZViewItem
I honestly would want an officially unlocked phone over an software unlocked phone... as there would be warranty... and I wouldn't have the chance to lock up my phone.
Can someone please sell one on ebay?

Does Anyone Know If The Officially Unlocked Iphone Works With Any Gsm Provider? Ie. Rogers In Canada?

-
That's what an ulocked phone does - Works with any GSM carier in the world

Does not anyone agree that...
the risks of frying your iPhone with an software unlock
or having it locked up to due to a future firmware ie. 1.1.3...
and not having any warranty...
is much more expensive than buying an officially unlocked iPhone from France?
