Default Where is the bootloader and why can't we just overwrite it?

    Hi,

I'm just curious, so where exactly is the bootloader stored? Is it ROM? And why can't we just overwrite it with the old one from an old iPhone?

This might be a stupid question, but I don't know anything about those things.
