Default What's up with all the dropbear installations?

It seems both 1.1.1 jailbreak processes (both devTeam's shiffy-install.bat and iTouch.exe) install dropbear SSH. Does this install an entirely different SSH server than the much-lauded OpenSSH?

Is there no way of installing OpenSSH during the jailbreak process? Of course, it's always easy installing OpenSSH once Installer is installed, but you need to have a jailbroken iphone for that.

There are even jailbreak tutorials which instruct you to install the OpenSSH after iTouch is installed. Isn't this redundant?? I'd really just as soon not run ANY SSH servers, much less TWO SSH servers.

dropbear is *the* ssh server of the embedded world, where a small size is the most appreciated characteristic

Ah, OK thanks for the reply. So, there's really no reason why one would need OpenSSH then, if one follows the devTEAM's jailbreak guide, which uses Nate True's SSH kit (dropbear)?

In other words, the dropbear SSH kit suffices for all normal SSH needs, such as SSH'ing into the phone, correct?

What would one need OpenSSH for that dropbear can't already accomplish?

    that is correct.

I'm sure the size reduction comes with a price, but I didn't lost anything I care about. I use dropbear on my wireless router and it has everything I want:
    - authentication through dsa keys
    - SFTP/SCP support

However, it seems that dropbear installed on my iPhone doesn't support authentication through keys.
