What to use to activate AND unlock 1.1.1 iphone using windows XP?

Hey all. Congrats to the dev team btw for doing the "impossible" or so they called it (apple)

After reading all these thread and posts my mind is about to go nuts because there are so many of them and none of them mentioned using windows xp or call me crazy, Vista to do the unlocking/activating.

Can someone please send me some instructions or link to find out what programs to use to activate and unlock the 1.1.1 iphone OUT OF THE BOX?

thanks for the link but that page is so jumbled up and i can't understand where they begins! anyone have a better breakdown?

Umm doesn't that link say activate on MAC OSX??? I beleive he said windows.....

Well I downgraded the firware (I Beleive) to 1.02 from out of the box 1.1.1 According to the directions, it says I can now use apptapp installer. When I run it just keeps sending cannot send to iphone?? What gives?
