What does the restore.plist file do?
I was comparing the plist file for the 1.1.1 and the 1.0.2 and 1.0.2 has a key that says: ForceNANDErase . While 1.1.1 does not have that line. This probably means nothing but what exactly does the restore.plist do?

If you don't have a clue where to get the FW 1.1.1, what the heck do you want to do with it?
Guys, sorry to tell you this again but this is SERIOUS stuff we're talking about here, this is no script kiddie stuff where you can activate a couple of software switches and there you go.
So please, don't waste your time "looking" at it, you just get grey hair.

Take away the Force and the Erase and try again.

Been there on the ForceNANDErase, done that, doesn't help. Right now I'm fooling with the "other" recovery mode method, essentially, you enter recovery mode the same way as before (holding the home and power button) but release the power button after the screen goes dark (~10 secs in). It seems to le me get further but still fails. The interesting thing is that the firmware appears to have reverted, but heads straight for recovery mode. My next step is to cobble together a file based on the 1.0.2 firmware with selective replacements (see /usr/local/bin in the ramdisk) to see if I can get it onto the iPhone and kicking around instead of the restore daemon. If it works, I'll see if a little hexed work on the fls can convince bbupdater to reflash it.
