What am I doing wrong? (jailbreaking 1.1.3)
Hi everyone. I've attempted to search and even re-attempted jailbreaking several times to see if I just needed to try again, however I seem to be having the same issue over and over again and figured I'd post it here to see if I could get any help.
When jailbreaking, I'm starting with a completely upgraded 1.1.3 phone. The part I get to successfully at first is where I have to type in *#307# then delete the characters. The only thing with that is that I can't delete the characters, when I click on call the phone rings and a 0 comes in the numbers' place. Well, I was told to ignore it, so no big deal I guess.
The part I can't seem to get past however is right after clicking "Install AppSnapp" on jailbreakme.com. Safari crashes like it should, however my phone doesn't actually reboot and the slider doesn't freeze like instructions say it should, it just stays there and the screen goes black (not locked, because when I press the wake button it wakes up).
I've tried this several times, but it's the same everytime. Can anyone assist please?
Have you tried the SEARCH button?? Your "issue" is documented better than the ongoing elections!! This time dock to your computer and have iTunes on before reinstalling AppSnapp.
I had this
What you have to do is upgraded to 1.1.3 then do the downgrade to 1.1.1 twice
Restore shift in itunes twice
It will work in the end btw somtimes JBreak take ages for the Tiff exploit to work
just keep at it
When back at JB 1.1.3
NEVER EVER DO THE RESTORE IN TUNES AFTER UPGRADING TO JAILBREAK 1.1.3
IT JUST CUTS THE PHONE OFF
Btw im on UK 02 OTB 1.1.2
Thanks Ipmatte. My iphone is week 50, will that make a difference? Hopefully it still works the same. I'll attempt doing the "shift-restore" to 1.1.1 twice then see what happens.
Thanks again Ipmatte, I'll keep you posted.
