Hi.
I have an iPhone activated with AT&T. I already configured Visual Voicemail, recorded message, etc.
However, it is important for me to use it in México, so I get AT&T when I am in the US and my local carrier when in México.

I unlocked using iBrikr and AnySim, it was ok, just that the unlock commands failed, however, it is working with my carrier.
When I insert my local, or any local sim, I do not get my local carrier to display, (movistar),
I just get AT&T, I can make calls, send messages but that looks weird.
Any info???

better to double check it, maybe your roaming in mexico, you may end up paying a lot of money. log in to your att account online to make sure your not charged with international roaming in mexico.

uuuummmmm exactly how would he be roaming on att in mexico when he has his att sim out and his movistar sim in? Does the iphone have another att sim hidden somewhere deep inside and the one you pull out the top is just a decoy? :p

Yes I'm in México.

Every sim I pop in displays AT&T as carrier.

AT&T Sim displays: AT&T
T-Mobile Sim displays: AT&T
Movistar Sim displays: AT&T
Telcel Sim displays: AT&T

hmmm... odd... not a clue on this one.

I'm guessing its because AT&T logo is the default to be shown and since images for those networks were not made into the iPhone, it just shows that. Not sure about T-Mobile though.

No.... my iphone definately says tmo.

1st Hardware Unlock. Normal
2nd Software Unlock. Normal
3rd Dev Team AnySim. Always AT&T.

Maybe restore and try a diff method?
