So I've read all the FAQ and the all the Threads, but cant find an anwser to my issue. I appologize if its a repeat question!

I have a week 32, ATT activated, updated 1.1.2, jailbroken (works great), and unlocked Iphone. I used the Hack the Iphone Updating, and unlocking 1.1.2 firmware method. The phone went throught the whole process to the end per the tutorial with no issues.

Here is my question/issue. I want to use the ATT service in the states, but I travel out of the country often and want to be able to use local SIMs. I have an active movistar SIM from El Salvador that works on my unlocked Moto V360, but when a put in into the Iphone it does not work. It shows no signal bars or "No Service" and when I change the country to El Salvador on Iworld, the phone reboots, but no change. I also used my girlfriends ATT SIM (RAZR V3) with same results. I am currently in the US. Any info will be appreciated.

You say "AT&T activated"

Have you done the full Jailbreak / Activation process and then the Unlock?

Do that and then it won't care what sim you have (including AT&T).

OR: If you are a MAC person get Independence and use it's Help File to do all the steps - Takes about 15 minutes total ( You will need to use iWorld at the end when you get to 1.1.2)

Yeah, I've been using the phone since august, activated it through Itunes. Jailbroke it and unlocked it this weekend.

It seems the web site assumes the iphone has never been used or activated with Itunes.

you need to " jailbreak and acitvate" with any other sim which is not ATT..I had the same problem

So once you "activated/jailbroke it" you were abled to pop in the ATT SIM card and are also abled to put in any SIM you want with out having to do anything else, just like any other unlocked phone? Also. when you activated it did you do the activation from the number pad...*#301#....or from Itunes?
