for my point of view we need an update from the DEV team, too many speculation at the moment.
What we just need is to know if the test on 1.1.2 ootb is still on going and if they made some progress or not.
The comunity want to understand which is the best way to proceed: hardware solution now x$ or wait until software unlock is available!

I think is better to have some negative news, but realistic, not a lot of fake news, regarding new firmware or new fake unlock solution for 1.1.2 ootb.

I tend to agree. I feel like I should pick up a StealthSIM, but don't want to get burned if a Software Unlock comes out tomorrow. I would just rather hear straight from the DEV team that an unlock is not going to happen anytime soon.

Here's your update: Looks like the cat won this round.

I thought everyone was aware that without the Firmware 1.1.3 and a baseband upgrade, the unlock would not be possible at the moment.

I have a OOB 1.1.2 USA phone and live in South America so will report back here soon if it works in my country..
Some even believe that even if there is a new 1.1.3 firmware that maybe they did not change the Boot or base and it will not help out the Dev team?

First, speak for yourself. I don't need no update. I know they are working on it and there is nothing i can do right now to help them. Also, I know there is no need to keep asking how/when/who/what/whatever. Let's make simple:

WHEN it goes out, they will say. News will spread like water, even your local train newspaper will publish "1.1.2 OOB hacked". You can be sure of that, everything will point out to WHO did it, WHAT to do and HOW to do. Until that time, keep doing WHATEVER you need, instead of bothering trying to get news from where they does not exists. This is not a job, people are not being paid for this and this is not their meaning of life. If wait paciently is too much for you, sorry, you do not need an iPhone. Go fish.

Seemed pretty clear to me. As far as I was concerned, if the 1.1.3 didn't get a baseband upgrade, the unlock was screwed anyway.

I'll stick with my PAYG sim for the time being and the unlock will come when it comes.
