Solution? Simple I run iTunes (off-line, no internet connection) connect phone and hit RESTORE + SHIFT using iPhone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore. After restore go to emergency call and use Dev Team solution. Works strade away on 5 iPhones, but when I try strade away from box all 5 fail to get me access to Springboard but acts like hacked (call back,freeze etc, sorry for my english)

So Apple did patch it? My friends father just bought an iPhone for me in America today... from an AT-T shop. What are the chances that it will have the patched firmware on it? And by restoring to old 1.1.1 does it Jailbreak as several posts in this thread seem to say?

This is what i am trying to find out... cause the firmware 1.1.1 that many people posted to download before jailbreaking its from Apple website itself.... what if they patched it from the main server and people been downloading it...

Not that i want to be a hypocrite but i just want to make sure before i spend money on it and cant unlock it. Do you know what program to unlock that does not use TIFF exploit?

Theres plenty of guides here that don't use the TIFF exploit. But IMHO you should be able to flash it with original 1.1.1 and have the TIFF exploit back either way.

dis is pretty solid, only thing is that it leaves you with dropbear, which you have to uninstall manually... anyway, it works (i've used it)
