the problem might actually be big if this is true cause yesterday i had a week 41 iphone that refused to downgrade so i had to use jailbreakme to get through

i wasn't the only with this problem and i tried on two different platforms, mac and pc, both get stuck in waiting for iphone ... (even though the phone hooks up with itunes fine if its not in restore mode)

if they fix the patch and somehow disable downgrading then we're screwed

I got a new iphone week 41, works fine for me. Activated, jailbreak, and unlocked.

I did 4 week 41 fine. If the fix is true. I would do a restore of the 1.1.1fw in iTunes to put back the exploit. Just hold shit and hit restore then select the older 1.1.1 fw. If thats the case. Maybe theres a reversion fw out in the new phones?

well i now know for a fact everything still works as of 3 am this morning on brand new phones (jailbreakme.com and CARNIVAL)

hi any link for the older 1.1.1 firmware? i just upgraded through itunes.... using
this file "iPhone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore.ipsw" on October 30th ... now i cannot downgrade if i used Carnaval with TIFF exploit, there's no WiFi menu (it says wifi off)

iPhone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore.ipsw 155,926KB 10/11/2007 download appears to prevent emergency call *#307#.

Anyone else having this problem?

Used iTunes Restore without Shift on Windows and upon completion can't emergency call to set WiFi and Safari to Tiff Exploit.

This thread is closest one I've found to similar problem. Is there a link to an earlier version of 1.1.1 firmware?

I have 5 iPhones BNB 1.1.1 They seems to be TIFF proof when I try "Jailbreak"
Solution? Simple I run iTunes (off-line, no internet connection) connect phone and hit RESTORE + SHIFT using iPhone1,1_1.1.1_3A109a_Restore. After restore go to emergency call and use Dev Team solution. Works strade away on 5 iPhones, but when I try strade away from box all 5 fail to get me access to Springboard but acts like hacked (call back,freeze etc, sorry for my english)

Fuc*ing Apple.
Real 1.1.1 update is from 16-10-2007
