Want to unlock or downgrade your iPhone?? PLEASE READ
As of today, if you phone is currently -
1.0.2/3.14.08 locked = you are OK
1.0.2/3.14.08 locked SIM ERROR = you are OK
1.0.2/3.14.08 unlocked = you are OK
1.1.1/4.01.13 locked = you are NOT OK
1.1.1/4.01.13 locked SIM ERROR = you are NOT OK
1.0.2/4.01.13 locked SIM ERROR = you are NOT OK
1.0.2/4.01.13 unlocked NO SIM ERROR = why are you here...you dont have any problems
1.1.1/4.01.13 unlocked NO SIM ERROR = why are you here...you dont have any problems
To sum up- if you used ipsf to unlock BEFORE you upgraded to 1.1.1 you are ok! If not then you are screwed like some of us..
if you fall in OK, then
you have the option to upgrade to 1.1.1 without risking to brick your phone, however, there are certain tricks you need to perform to upgarde to 1.1.1. To upgrade to 1.1.1 without bricking your phone; if you have previously unlocked using iUnlocker, Geohot hardware, anySim or any other unlocks other than IPSF, you WILL need to relock using Ericas method (in order to clean up the 049999 imei mess) and then unlock your phone with IPSF BEFORE you upgrade to 1.1.1... from here you can do what ever you want..downgrade etc..
why u want to do this?? - so you can run on 1.0.2/4.01.13 combination..which is the most up to date working version! woo hoo..
If you fall in NOT OK, then
all you can do is wait until the dev team releases -
1) new version of bbupdate firmware downgrade so you can downgrade to 3.14.08, then you can unlock using anySim, iUnlocker, or IPSF, etc...
2) unlocker for 4.01.13 modem firmware
from my understanding the modem firmware downgrade will be released before the 4.01.13 unlock... please be patient and try not to junk up the forum with same questions again and again..
