The point is the following: If it was in a real Apple Store, that 'software' could be spreaded over all stores worldwide, easier to reach than if it is an authorized reseller. That's why I said 'the problem is that there's no apple store in phillippines'. Never said I didn't give a chance to him.

Point given, however I do beg to differ, since I know this personally, these premium resellers back in the Philippines are also authorized service centers for Apple products. No point in sending apple products needing repair halfway around the globe. It's just plainly not cost effective. They do have sortware that helps in servicing their apple products. Hope I get you enlightened in this regard.

Look you guys, seriously. If everytime someone mentions the word unlock 1.1.2 you act like you do and attack the poor guy with racist slanders or the sort, how is anyone going to step up and talk. I agree, the moderators should simply erase and rewind. If someone doesnt´give proof or gives details of the unlock method, fne. Lets go on. The problem is that given the level of difficulty and the failed attempts by the dev team to unlock the new firmware, there is a lot of money at stake. If I were to come up with a method, I would think twice about posting it. Well, I would talk to Tifel or geohot directly and share it with them. Perhaps that is what we have to do. tell this guy to contact the right people for proof, and tell him why it is important to keep the methond for free and away from the money makers.

Still puzzling a bit over what made manille think that was racist. My best guess would be misreading "too many naieve ppl on here" as "too many native people on here". Especially since "naïve" doesn't sound like it's spelt.

This latest episode of racial tension is clearly Apple's fault, if they had just released the 1.1.3 update this would never have happened. For the sake of world unity Apple, please release a baseband upgrade!

Looking into this thread, it seems our dear friend "manille" has just told everybody, including "Apple" that their particular "premium reseller" is involved into hacking the iPhone. Hmmm... I wonder what would happen to the franchise licensees.

Secondly, Apple will never release any programs or even any info to regards on the iPhone to a country or region (South East Asia), which has yet to get the green light to even sell or smell the iPhone. Unless he's using some X programs, which we call it jailbreak or iBrickr??? Imagine I'm less than 20 miles away from a Apple (not the fruit...duh!!!) factory, how poluted I could be???

Nevertheless, we do need some entertainment while waiting for the 1.12 mstery to be unveiled.
