As far as I understand: I have to downgrade the 04.01.13_G modem firmware.
Correct me if I am wrong please. (Idont know how to dowgrade the modem firmware before the virginize attempt with OS X )
Thanks in advance.
I had a similar problem with my iPhone. Everytime i ran the virginizer, my firmware stayed at what you have now. Luckily, im here to help. follow this guide first: http://modmyiphone.com/wiki/index.ph...1_to_1.0.2_OSX
and then i would recommend this guide from this hackint0sh forum: http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12863
From another website
Taken from this link
Required programs and files to perform this:
bbupdater - http://www.freeiphoneunlock.com/guide/
ICE03.14.08_G.eep, ICE03.14.08_G.fls, iEraser, secpack - http://tinyurl.com/2n5yvj OR http://www.2shared.com/file/2380025/...and-flash.html
AnySIM 1.02 - http://www.deadbeef.cn/files/anySIM_102.zip
Fugu - http://rsug.itd.umich.edu/software/fugu/download.html
If you haven't already downgraded from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2, you'll need to do that. You'll hopefully have already installed SSH, SFTP, and SCP from iNdependence too.
Assuming that you've taken care of the afformentioned prerequisites you're ready to continue.
At this point rename secpack40113.bin to secpack
Step 1: Using Fugu, connect to your iPhone (root:dottie) and upload:
to /usr/bin on your iPhone.
Upload AnySIM.app to /Applications. Turn your phone off and back on. If you see AnySIM on your home screen proceed to the next step. If you don't try this step once more and if that fails you should probably stop what you are doing because you are too incompetent to follow the easy parts of this tutorial and I don't want you to completely mess up your phone.
Step 2: Using terminal, SSH to your iphone (again using root:dottie). Run the following command:
launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist
Now type in:
chmod +x ieraser
chmod +x bbupdater
At this point bbupdater will return saying that it could not ping the baseband. This is good and means it was successfully deleted.
Step 3: Overwrite with the new baseband by typing in the following:
bbupdater -f *.fls -e *.eep
It will run its course. When finished type in:
It should tell you that you have modem version 03.14.08_G. The hard part is done.
Step 4: Go to Settings | General | Auto-Lock | Set it to Never. Then run AnySIM from your homescreen. It will run its course and you will now have the proper IMEI and be able to use any SIM that you want with your phone.
Step 5: THIS IS OPTIONAL FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO RELOCK. The easiest thing to do is boot your iPhone in Restore Mode and simply restore 1.0.2 again. This will return your phone to a locked state (if you simply want to use AT&T). However you still cannot upgrade to 1.1.1 because the nvram is still corrupt from AnySIM. So DO NOT UPGRADE TO 1.1.1
Congrats, you now have an unlocked phone with downgraded baseband.
*****NOTE ON ERRORS*****
If you are getting this error with ieraser:
"Got header: 77 0b cc - Bus error"
It is because you didn't remove the .bin extension of the secpack. You need to make sure it is removed in windows by changing your folder view options to show extensions for known file types, OR in Mac by ctrl + click and going to get info and removing the extension under Name & Extension.
I also have same situation, and spend me 3 days
Finally I found 2 reasons in the forum.
1. It should be the ieraser, you should try a newer version, and do restart again. The old version will hang you or wait for a long long time.
2. Remember the step that replace the 03.14.18_G bb to iphone, without erase and replace steps, you will not go next step.
Since I'm using Windows, but I think we just have the same problem, hope this information will help you.
102 iUnlock -> revirgin -> 111 -> touchfree -> anySIM1.1 -> done
Guys: I would like to thank you all for your great replys,
I'll update my status right after trying the nws steps
Ok it's done!
First step : Downgrade Baseband 1.1.1 to 1.0.2 OSX
Second step : How to repair the baseband on unlocked 1.0.2 firmware to upgrade to 1.1.1 firmware
3 rd step : Downgrading, activating, updating, and jailbreaking - What will also work: iPhone with 1.0.2 firmware (never unlocked before, or with repaired baseband)
1.5 hours later : Up&running 1.1.1 iphone
Thanks a lot guy's.
doesn't wrk for me
