    I have the exact same issues. There is NO pin on the SIM, I know for sure. The same exact NOR file has unlocked another iphone with no problems. I have only tried maybe 3-4 times from a phone that I personally opened, so I dont know about the count running out either.

    I think some phones have a difference that makes them unlock-able by any methods currently known.

    This state suggests the unlock limit has been reached :-(

    Whilst the unlock process is pretty solid now, the icing on the cake would be if the clever guy's that hacked the nor originally to bypass the NCK could make another modification to bypass the unlock counter also. Then it would be perfect!

    Here's hoping Sam or one of the Dev's get to see this thread and take up the challenge :-)

    Default maximun unlock

    This returns:

    +XSIM: SS

    +XLOCK: "PN",X1,X2,"PU",X1,X2,"PP",X1,X2,"PC",X1,X2,"PS",X 1,X2(the only lock present is the PN lock)

    SS:

    0=No SIM Inserted

    2=SIM Ready

    6=SIM Busy

    X1:

    0=Unlockable(i assume without attempt counter)

    1=Unlockable

    2=Unknown(i have never seen this)

    3=Attempt Limit Reached

    4=Unlocked and Lockable

    5=Unlocked

    X2:

    0=SIM Valid

    1=Unknown(this gets set for PN when unlock is attempted)

    4=SIM Not Valid

    I have an iphone with the maximum unlock attemps

    maybe the dev-team that like the patched nor bypasses the NCK, if its possible for another modification that bypasses the unlock attempt !!!!!

    DEV-team HELP

    Yeah, I'm on the exact same boat. I've tried every method and still got the -Incorrect Sim: not approved by att- message.

    minicom:

    AT+CLCK="PN",0,"00000000"
    ERROR
    AT+CLCK="PN",2
    +CLCK: 1

    The unlock attempt counter might be the reason why my iphone is not unlocking. I hope there will be a fix for it.

    now2ai8,

    Please issue the command

    AT+XSIMSTATE=1

    at minicom and post your result to see if it's like mine.

    Watching this thread.

    I've unlocked maaaany iPhones in the past weeks and the one I worked on lastnight right from the get go ended up displaying the no service error followed by the invalid sim error (when in fact the original AT&T sim was in the phone).

    Tried every single known method. I am a *nix user so the more complicated unlock methods were not a problem.

    Would like to point out that I flashed the baseband more than enough, restored back to 1.0.0 (with errors), eventually got to 1.0.1 and nothing would work, restored till my eyes were blue... Absolutely nothing worked.
