Question Upgrading 1.1.3 to 1.1.4 without Activating iPhone - to use iPlus

    Hi iPhone gurus,

I need some help to get started and join the iPhone family.

    Please guide me!

I have a brand new iPhone (my uncle bought in USA) which I just opened in New Zealand. Its 1.1.3 version and each time i connect it into the computer, iTunes tells me to select an AT&T plan. and it doesnt allow me to reach the restore & update screen options. I dont want to select any plan, because it tells me to enter my phone number.

I wanted to run the iPlus to unlock/activate it. But iPlus requires the iPhone to be 1.1.4.

So I need your help in finding out how i can upgrade 1.1.3 to 1.1.4 to run iPlus.

What is the best way to bypass the activation and upgrade the iPhone?

    Thanks in advance,
    Asfahaan

Please read the iPlus 2b STICKY thread in this forum. It's indepth, provides lots of information and links to tutorials and videos on how to unlock your phone right on page 1. This has worked for most newbies. There is no need to start a thread and create forum clutter for this.
