Upgrading to 1.1.1 - How do I choose which version in iTunes?

Hi All

I'm about to upgrade my activated 1.0.2 iPhone to 1.1.1

My iPhone has never been SIM unlocked.

I downloaded an early version of the 1.1.1 firmware, so I should be ok there.

I want to know how to get iTunes to use my downloaded copy of 1.1.1 rather than the new fixed version that iTunes will want to download and use.

I use a Mac.

just hold the shift key while you click the restore button it should give you a file explorer window, you can select the file from there

Sorry, if you are using a MAC you need to hold the alt/option button while you click the update button.
