Upgraded unvirginized 1.0.2 to 1.1.4 . Not good!
I ran into a problem with my iphone. It is a 1.0.2 hacked iphone that worked fine until recently when the installer app quit working. I could not install or uninstall anymore. Using iLiberty+, I figured that if I Jailbroke it again, it would reinstall the installer app. Not a good idea on my part. When I ran iLiberty+, the program froze and my iphone ended up in the BSD error loop.
Reading on this board, I found a message area telling how to fix an unvirginized 1.0.2 iphone that has been upgraded to 1.1.4. http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27348 I have followed the steps to correct my situation. I've DFU upgraded to 1.1.4, installed the BSD subsystem and added i.unlock.no . I then downgraded the baseband and finally DFU the firmware to 1.1.1.
Problem is, once the iphone is restored to 1.1.1, iTunes opens up and says that there is a problem with the iphone and it needs to be taken to an Apple Dealer. I've tried using iLiberty+ on it at this point and on my Mac, iLibery+ freezes up 1/2 way through and then I have a phone with the BSD error loop again. Only way out of this is to DFU 1.1.4 and try again. On my PC, I've used iLiberty+ to try and jailbreak it at the 1.1.1 point but got no where this way either.
I did try the dial emerency number trick but when I got to the part where you install AppSnapp from jailbreakme.com, I never got the file I needed.
Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: I just now DFU 1.1.4 and then used iLibery+ to jailbreak it, unlock it and install a few things and now I have T-Mobile service and can call. Why is this working when the phone was never virginized? I would still like to correct this if possible so that I don't have future problems. Thank you

One more thing. Is is possible to run iLiberty+ more than once on the same firmware install? Reason I ask is because I would like to get the Installer App put on the iphone as I am not to crazy about Cydia. I would also like to get Edge fixed as it is not working right now with my $5.99 T-Zones. Also, YouTube is telling me I need to connect to iTunes to enable YouTube.
Again, any help is appreciated.

Many things changed finally there are lots of tools on the net.Without virginize Your phone is working thats normal but some phones affected by problems(no signal, weak reception etc.)
Simply restore to 1.1.4 then erase the baseband then again flash the whole firmware then unlock with your favorite tool.Thats is the modern simple virginize consept.

Yeah, if your phone didn't have problems while on 1.0.2 (like a f%^ed up hardware unlock for example), you don't need to virginize to go to 1.1.3 or 1.1.4. Some people think it's prudent to virginize anyways, but I've never experienced any problems myself upgrading from 1.0.2 without virginizing.
