Default Updating 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 Quick Question

So I've finally solved my No Service problem by downgrading my OTB 1.1.1 to 1.02, flashing the bb to v3, and unlocking with anySim 1.1.

Question: I want to update to 1.1.1, does restoring using a 1.1.1 FW update the baseband as well? Can I simply update the FW to 1.1.1, jailbreak, and be A-Ok?

    Since I didn't use anySim 1.02 I don't have to virginize correct?

I tried searching to no avail.

    Thanks!

A lot of people have fixed the No Service problem by manually applying a lockdown file. Did you try this orginally? Just search this forum for 'lockdown' for more info.

Yes, if you update to 1.1.1. this will update your baseband to v4. Due to a change being made to the baseband you'll need to re-run AnySim 1.1. after jailbreaking and activating. (if you restored from 1.1.1 to 1.1.1 then the baseband wouldn't change so you would NOT need to re-run AnySim 1.1. - but this isn't the case for you).

Yes, I tried the lockdown method already and it didn't help.

Since I'm doing all of this baseband flashing, do I have to be worried about my unlock counts going up? I never quite understood this, but figured all of this updating/flashing etc. would probably have an effect on it..and I also seem to get mixed messages whether anySIM 1.1 increases the count.

So in my case I'd be safe upgrading to 1.1.1 (not through iTunes official fw), jailreak/activate, then anySIM 1.1 all over again?

    Thanks for the help!
