Update Baseband only on 04.01.13_G firmware possible?
hi ...
i have OTB virgin 1.1.1, tried using carnaval, always failed to use wifi to connect to network in order to jailbreak, wifi can turn on but cannot join network....
already tried downgrade, with 1.02 wifi works perfectly can use safari to browse, and the modem firmware was 04.01.13_G, then i restore it to 1.1.1 still having issue on joining wifi network (could not connect) so can't jailbreak.
maybe there's a problem with my baseband? is there anyway to update the baseband only on 04.01.13_G without having to erase secpack, baseband and downgrade to 03.14.08_G
thanks

ok thanks for the advice but i've already downgrade fully to 1.02 both firmware and modem version, without doing virginizing process...
wifi works ok, safari works ok, but when i restore i iTunes again to 1.1,1 wifi always says could not join network everytime i point out the available access point...
do i need to do virginize process?
i'm using my laptop wifi adapter to serve as an access point in adhoc mode, i'm not using a normal wifi access point which use a wifi router, does it make any difference?
but i already unlock 2 with this method and it works just this last one seems to have all the problems
thanks

did you virginize? I hope you did not do it.
You phone is a brand new OTB 1.1.1 phone. You don't need to do anything to it except jailbrake / activate then unlock using anySIM 1.1 -
Take the word virginize / revirgin out of your head. YOU don't need it.
you just have to figure out why wifi does not work.
turn of encryption on your access point and try again.
enable ssid if you have to for now
DO NOT use anything other than anySIM 1.1 to unlock

I purchased a brand new 1.0.2 iPhone from china and was working with non AT&T sim (means it should be activated and unlocked and jailbreaked already). I didn't know about phone's history and didn't know about any hack stuff about Hacking iPhone. Next day after connecting to PC and downloading iTune mistakenly updated to 1.1.1 and got phone jailed again. Tried jailbreakme.com but no use. Desided to downgrade to 1.0.2 using instruction here:
http://www.hacktheiphone.com/111/iph...1_windows.html
Everything went well and I have access to spring board now except my phone is not recognized by PC. Non of the iTune and iBricker can't detect iPhone when I connect it to the computer. Modem firmware is still 04.01.13_G. I have WiFi working OK. What should I do to get my phone detected by computer?

why did you downgrade? you should've just restored 1.1.1

I used restore mode and restored to 1.1.1 again. Now everything is just as before. I am going to give it another try and use jailbreakme.com for unlocking it.
By the way I used never option for automatic lock but seems it is not working. It was working ok when It was on 1.0.2

After restore I tried jailbreakme.com again and still can't get the phone call itself. I suppose I have to downgrade again to 1.0.2 and also downgrade firmware from 04.XX to 03.XX and the virginalize baseband then restore to 1.1.1 and try jailbreakme.com again. Any comment on this please?
