Once we have the new jailbreak, step (3) will be to update anySIM to unlock the new firmware, as the current unlock does not survive a baseband rewrite. IPSF unclock phone may work once the jailbreak is found though. But again I think the new anySIM will not be hard.

There is a lot of work ahead and a lot of searching and noting of manufacturing batches to figure out the cut week for the new firmware on new phones.
Doesn't anysim 1.1.1 survive a baseband rewrite? Thought i read it somewhere.

Using iTunes 7.5 Just synced my Week 25 iPhone, running 1.1.1, Jailbroken, Actvated with iNdependence and originally unlocked with the "paid solution that we can't mention" running on Vodafone in the UK.

iTunes asked to send some diagnostic information about the iPhone which appeared to be about Safari. Only thing different to usual was after completing the backup, the iPhone rebooted. Hadn't noticed it doing that before. But my iPhone is happy and fully functional as usual.

So 7.5 doesn't break your iPhone (well not mine)

    Hi Guys,

Ive been following this closly and i honestly dont think this is gonna be huge like the 1.1.1 update was, just look at some things,

The firmware is going from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 and from what we can gather, the ONLY thing it does is fix the .tiff bug and add international support.

The baseband firmware is going from 04.01.13 to 04.02.13, i have a feeling this is only a minor update to support some sort of "extra" that the eurpoean networks use that the US ones don't.

Also Apple have NOT come out with a warning this time, ok, they gave us one last time and you might say that they cant warn people EVERY time a new firmware is released but i think after what happend with the last firmware that they WOULD warn us this time.

This is all pure speculation i admit but thats what i think. I honestly believe that once the new firmware is JailBroken, the unlock will be very easy.

The fact the tiff bug is fixed means the only known way of jailbreaking will be the original Dev 1.1.1 jailbreak with the Symlink and they might of done something to fix that also.

Who Knows!!!!!!!! We'll all find out on Friday, just taught i'd share my views.

I'd been using my iPhone (unlocked with Carnaval) with iTunes 7.5 since it came out and it works flawlessly...

if I click "Restore" while holding down the "shift" key it still opens up the window to select a different restore image.

quick question, how can I tell the week build of my iPhone? I'd searched the forum before but it comes out with so many useless results that I just quit trying to find a proper answer to that question. thanks in advance.

    I Think

Modem Firmware 04.01.13_G is for US iPhones
Modem Firmware 04.02.13_G is for UK iPhones
    and 04.03.13_G for t-Mobile Germany
    for French 04.04.13_G

Because when all iPhones have the same Modem Firmware you can youse it with T-Mobile, O2, At&T. I don´t think when you Update your US iPhone the Modem Firmware and Baseband will change! I Think the numbers (.01. , .02. ) in the middle are only country codes.

    Sorry for my bad english!!

It survives a restore, if the BB FW versions are the same. This is because iTunes doesn't flash the BB in a restore if the versions are a match. AnySIM 1.1 does not survive a bbupdate flash or a BB FW upgrade or downgrade.
