    Question unlocking iphone 2g...HELP!!!!

    I am trying to unlock my friends 2G. I am pretty sure that I need to change the modem firmware (it is 04.05.04_G) but I have tried a few things and nothing is working.

    Can someone please walk me through this.

    If anyone can help you, you need to provide more information:

    Explain what tools you have already used for jailbreak and unlock and what OS version you are trying to unlock for. What OS is the iPhone running now?

    If you have problems restoring an IPSW via iTunes.
    Look in
    Code:
    %AppData%\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Updater Logs
    copy and paste the contents of the most recent log file to pastebin - collaborative debugging tool then provide a link to your pastebin posting as a reply in this thread.

    use iclarified tutorial
    iClarified - iPhone - How to Unlock/Jailbreak Your iPhone 2G on OS 3.1.3 Using RedSn0w (Windows)

    BUT...you should use RedSnOw 0.9.2 from iphone dev team
    go to bottom select Windows or MAC
