    Default Unlocking GUIDE- Solution for all problems! Even IMEI and people who lost hope!

    Greetings,
    Iam from Canada, I nearly had 7% of hope left for unlocking my bricked iPhone, I had read every single guide on this forum, my phone was with BB 1.0.2 when I purchased it, I unlocked it back in August with old way (iBrickr and iUnlock
    ICE03.14.08_G.fls, nor, minicom , bbupdater) all was done manually back then using Putty!

    I upgraded by mistake to 1.1.1, then reverginized to 1.0.2
    - tried anySIM1.1.1 but same thing didn't work even though it gave me unlock success, but didnot work,
    - tried many other guides, still no use,
    -I had the IMEI 0499 problem
    -All other problems I heard about....i had it, you name it!

    I TRIED EVEY POSSIBLE GUIDE TO UNBRICK, FINALLY I MADE IT!!! AND HERE'S HOW

    THE FOLLOWING IS A WINDOWS GUIDE ONLY
    (made in XP, pretty sure Vista would act the same, just try )

    Remember, I tried this Guide on my OWN iPhone! Not some BS out there

    PUT YOUR CARRIER SIM CARD IN AND KEEP IT IN AT ALL TIMES!

    ================================================== ========

    Part1:
    ====

    Jailbreaking:
    ---------------

    Required programs and files to perform this:
    iBrickr v0.91 - ibrickr.com

    Restore and upgrade to 1.1.1 using iTunes no matter what condition your iPhone is in! even if you are in 1.1.1 just to be fresh

    Launch iBrickr v0.91 to downgrade to 1.0.2

    When you just finish restoring and updating to 1.1.1 you start up iBrickr which will put you in a Special mode to be able to restore to 1.0.2 (a Blank white screen)

    iBrickr might need to download the Restore file (1.0.2.ipsw) iBrickr will save it to its directory when it is done

    Once you get that, open up iTunes and hold Shift+Click-on-Restore then navigate to iBrickr folder where it should have downloaded the 1.0.2.ipsw file (you might not see the .ipsw extension) and open that file,

    Then iTunes will begin restoring.
    Remeber you donot close a iBrickr at ALL!

    Once the restore in iTunes is done it should give you the 1013 error, and then you get the yellow triangle in iPhone,

    go back to iBrickr and click where it says iTunes not responding and yellow triangle in iPhone follow that and it will make a red screen in iPhone,

    click go back to main page in iBrickr or close it and launch it again and click boot iPhone in normal mode.

    Stay watching and wait for the FREE MY IPHONE! to come up in iBrickr

    if it doesn't come press F5, it might say PLEASE CONNECT TO IPHONE, but keep pressing F5 until you get the FREE MY IPHONE IN iBrickr,

    After you get the FREE MY IPHONE message, do what it tell you to do to jailbreak!

    Once done, it might freeze at the time when it says SWEET! just press F5

    Install PXL by Pressing on applications in iBrickr and following the what it tells you to do!

    Once done, click "Browe Appplications" and install "INSTALLER" the list , DONOT install "Greg's installer" ! it is another installer in the list!

    Part2:
    =====

    Bypass activation and YouTube lock:
    ---------------------------------------------

    Required programs and files to perform this:
    lockdownd file - Can be found in the iBrickr folder!
    YouTube certificate files -http://rapid share.com/files/58461644/youtube.zip.html (remove the space)

    Get the lockdownd file (used to bypass activation) and the YouTube certificate files to your PC. You must transfer these files to you phone as described below.

    In iBrickr, click "Files". On the right you should see the file system of the phone.

    Navigate to:
    /usr/libexec/
    Click the upload button and select the lockdowndfile you got previously.

    When done, navigate backwards two steps ("up" link on top), then go to:
    /var/root/Library/Lockdown/

    Here you upload the three YouTube certificate files one by one (data_ark.plist, device_private_key.pem and device_public_key.pem). It will overwrite the ones already on your phone.

    If Youtube doesn't work, try rebooting but in the end after unlocking, if it still doesn't work, use Pacay ( the point and Activate way ) to get Youtube working!

    Part3:
    ====

    Virginizing baseband:
    ---------------------------

    Required programs and files to perform this:
    bbupdater - Can be found in iBrickr folder!

    ICE03.14.08_G.eep, ICE03.14.08_G.fls, iEraser, secpack - tinyurl .com/2n5yvj OR 2shared .com/file/2380025/48cf816c/baseband-flash.html

    AnySIM 1.02 - deadbeef .cn/files/anySIM_102.zip
    PuTTY or alternative SSH client - chiark.greenend .org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html
    WinSCP - winscp .net/eng/download.php

    ^(remove the space IN THE LINKS)^

    You'll have to install the BSD Subsystem, SSH, and the Community Sources from Installer.

    Assuming that you've taken care of the afformentioned prerequisites you're ready to continue.

    Step 1: Using WinSCP, connect to your iPhone (user: root and Password: dottie) and upload:

    ICE03.14.08_G.eep
    ICE03.14.08_G.fls
    iEraser
    bbupdater
    secpack

    to /usr/bin on your iPhone.

    Upload AnySIM.app to /usr/Applications. Turn your phone off and back on. If you see AnySIM on your home screen proceed to the next step. If you don't try this step once more and if that fails you should probably stop what you are doing because you are too incompetent to follow the easy parts of this tutorial and I don't want you to completely mess up your phone.

    Using PuTTY, connect to your iphone (again using user: root and Password: dottie). Run the following command:

    launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.CommCenter.plist

    Now type in:

    cd /usr/bin

    chmod +x ieraser

    chmod +x bbupdater

    ieraser

    bbupdater -v

    At this point bbupdater will return saying that it could not ping the baseband. This is good and means it was successfully deleted.

    Overwrite with the new baseband by typing in the following:

    bbupdater -f *.fls -e *.eep

    It will run its course. When finished type in:

    bbupdater -v

    It should tell you that you have modem version 03.14.08_G. The hard part is done.

    Part4:
    ====

    The Unlocking:
    ------------------
    Go to Settings | General | Auto-Lock | Set it to Never.

    Then run AnySIM 1.0.2 from your homescreen. It will run its course and you will now have the proper IMEI and be able to use any SIM that you want with your phone.

    DO NOT UPGRADE TO 1.1.1 ever again (only for those people whom their iphone was originally built with 1.0.2)

    Congrats, you now have an unlocked phone with downgraded baseband 1.0.2

    ================================================== ========

    Hope it works for you too! I pretty sure it will work with a lot of you

    I've had this BIG bad IMEI problem and NOTHING seems to fix it... although I doubt this will work (because it is soo similar to what I've tried so far), I'll give it a try later on!

    Thanks a lot!!

    And ppl with bad IMEI, please report results!

    I've run anySIM on 1.0.2 (tho it's still locked and with the 0049+ imei), do I have to virginize or reflash BB before updating?

    I used ibrickr to downgrade but it doesn't work: it seems to be blocked during step2: "phone in dfu mode". Any suggestion?

    restoring and updating is the very first thing you do, no matter what state you are in verginizing is to be done in step3!

    I closed ibrickr and tried to launch it twice but nothing changed: it continue to stop the downgrading process after entering in dfu mode...I don't know what to do...I think this is because i upgraded (by mistake) to 1.1.1 on an unlocked iphone. If I try to downgrade through itunes i get "an unknown error has ocurred (1)" and stop the restoring process...I am desperate
